(Joplin, MO) – The Post Art Library and the Joplin Public Library (JPL) Adult Programming Department is excited to host author and artist Sean Fitzgibbon at the Library on Tuesday, August 8!
Sean wrote and illustrated What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel, a nonfiction graphic novel that depicts the mythologies surrounding the Crescent Hotel’s strange two years as Baker Hospital, a Depression Era cancer hospital in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Sean’s visit will last from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. He will present on his graphic novel at 6:00 pm and sign copies from 7:00 to 7:30 pm, with books available for purchase. An art exhibit featuring Sean’s original artwork for the publication will accompany his presentation, and will be located in the Local History gallery. The art exhibit will be on display through August 31.
