(Joplin, MO) – When you buy a Blizzard® frozen treat from Dairy Queen on July 28, you get more than a tasty treat — you get to help ensure children in our community can lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
July 28 is Miracle Treat Day®. Participating Dairy Queen locations are giving $1 or more from every Blizzard® Treat sold to benefit Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals at Freeman Health System. Through these donations, Freeman provides treatments and supports that patients need today, so that they can fulfill their potential for tomorrow.
Dairy Queen has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 38 years and has raised almost $13,000 locally for Freeman Health System in the last three years. Their support has brought joy and hope to kids treated in the hospital in numerous ways. These donations have helped sick and injured kids with travel expenses, medications, and specialized equipment.
Freeman thanks the following locations for taking part in Miracle Treat Day:
- Missouri – Joplin, Lamar, Seneca, Nevada
- Kansas – Fort Scott, Galena, Pittsburg, Iola
In conjunction with Miracle Treat Day, the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill at 2015 East 32nd in Joplin, will host a car show and family fun night July 28 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Trophies will be awarded for best engine, best interior and best of show, and a trophy will be given for the car voted best by a CMN kid. Come grab a Blizzard and enjoy a fun-filled night for the whole family.
Hospitals treating children are at the frontlines when it comes to protecting the health of future generations, and Dairy Queen locations nationwide want to help them foster the business owners, creators and leaders of tomorrow. Thanks to your donation, this will continue to create a ripple effect to improve kids’ health and change the future in our community for years to come.
