(Joplin, MO) – This June, the Wildcat Glades Friends Group, along with other partners, will be hosting a hands-on preschool connections program, kids and adult yoga, a kids’ outdoor cook-off, and a Conservation in the Parks class.
Yoga in Nature for Adults
June 11 | 8:30 to 9:30 am | For ages 16+ | $10 to attend | Wildcat Glades Education Cottage
Led by Amanda, a registered yoga teacher, this class is designed to incorporate elements of nature, breathing, and yoga poses. Bring your yoga mat or a towel and a reusable water bottle. This is a great opportunity to help those who might be experiencing a little angst from being cooped up.

Kids’ Outdoor Cooking Championship
June 13 | 11:00 am | For ages 7 to 12 | Free event sponsored by the Corley Trust | Wildcat Glades Education Cottage
Join the Wildcat Glades Friends Group for our first ever Outdoor Cooking Championship! Register your “team” of two to four people and bring your best cooking skills! Recipes, Dutch ovens, skillets, and all cooking tools will be provided.

Conversation in Parks: Food Webs

Join Wildcat Glades and the Missouri Department of Conservation for a Conservation in Parks program! We are going to learn all about the food webs that thrive inside our city parks. This will be a hands-on lesson full of fun and learning.

Show Me the Mussels

Join us at Wildcat Glades Education Cottage to learn about our Missouri mussels and how they keep our streams clean! We will go on a walk to the creek (so please bring your water shoes), make our own fossils, and read a story.
