Easterseals Midwest announced on April 8 that its Board of Directors has completed a search and selected the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer after the planned retirement of Wendy Sullivan.
Jeanne Marshall, who currently serves as President of Easterseals Midwest, has been named Chief Executive Officer. Marshall brings nearly four decades of institutional knowledge, clinical expertise, and strategic leadership to the role, having first joined the organization in 1987. Over her time with Easterseals, she has served in a wide range of leadership roles, including vice president of autism services, chief program officer, and chief strategy officer, before being appointed president in December 2024.
“I am honored to step into this role and humbled by the trust the board, our team, and the people we support have placed in me,” Marshall said. “Wendy’s legacy over four decades is a testament to what unwavering dedication to our mission looks like, and it is my privilege to carry that mission forward.”
A Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst, Marshall holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Missouri and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada. She holds a teaching certification in Special Education and has served for more than 19 years as a surveyor for CARF International. Her deep roots in the disability field make her uniquely positioned to lead Easterseals Midwest into its next chapter.
“Jeanne is an exceptional match for Easterseals Midwest,” said Easterseals Board Chairman Corey Hamilton. “This is an important moment for Easterseals, and we are proud that we are building a future-ready organization prepared to take on the challenges and opportunities that are before us.”
Sullivan will remain with Easterseals until June 30, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition for Marshall who will assume the role on Friday, May 1, 2026.
“This work has been my life’s calling, and passing the torch to Jeanne is not an ending; it’s exactly the kind of beginning Easterseals deserves,” Sullivan said. “I couldn’t be prouder of what this team has built, and I can’t wait to watch what comes next.”
