Joplin Public Library Invites Local Businesses to Join Joplin Reads Together through Community Business Partnerships

The Joplin Public Library (JPL) is asking for businesses to consider helping promote Joplin Reads Together 2026.

Joplin Reads Together is a community-focused, month-long campaign centered upon one adult novel. Community members are encouraged to read the selected title and have the opportunity to further explore the themes and topics in the novel by attending book discussions and programming events offered throughout the entire month of April. This year’s selected novel is The Correspondent by Virginia Evans.

JPL is inviting businesses to take part in Joplin Reads Together by posing with this year’s selected book and allowing JPL to share the photos on their social media pages. They also encourage participating (but don’t require) businesses to also share those photos with their followers.

As an example, JPL has distributed examples from the Poplar Bluff Library’s community campaign. Local businesses in Joplin are encouraged to use these examples when brainstorming for their own photos.
