Joplin NALA Read invites the community to an unforgettable Murder Mystery Dinner, hosted at the Minnie Hackney Community Service Center on Saturday, February 28!

Step into the glamorous world of the Spell Ball, NALA Read’s long-running signature event that blends a spelling bee competition with a formal fundraising gala and has been a community tradition for decades. This year, however, the Spell Ball takes a darker turn.

Guests will be assigned roles as competitors, donors, celebrities, philanthropists, and other colorful characters connected to the Spell Ball. No acting experience is required! This interactive mystery is designed to be fun and accessible for all ages, with plenty of surprises along the way.

The evening includes a full meal and an engaging mystery experience that promises laughter, intrigue, and a night you won’t soon forget. Tickets are $30 per person or $60 per couple. Learn more and purchase your tickets here.
