(Joplin, MO) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, February 13, at 11:00 am at The Joplin Carnegie Library, located in downtown Joplin at 830 S. Wall Avenue.
Constructed in 1902, this building served as the public library for the city of Joplin until the early 1980s, when it transitioned into private ownership.
In February 2025, the current owner acquired the property with the intention of rehabilitating the historic structure, which had remained vacant for nearly two decades and had suffered from break-ins, vandalism, and multiple instances of arson.
Join the community as we come together to celebrate this historic property’s next chapter!
