Crowder College and Arvest Bank Partner with Other Institutions to Bring Documentary to Area

(Jane, MO) Crowder College has partnered with several other colleges and organizations to bring Gone Guys documentary to our area. A powerful new documentary inviting viewers into a timely, necessary conversation about the challenges facing boys and young men today. This documentary builds on the success of the I-49 Workforce Summit held earlier this year. The 45-minute documentary draws on the influential work of Richard V. Reeves’ Of Boys and Men, illuminating these challenges through powerful data and compelling personal stories.

Through personal stories, striking data, and expert insight, the film examines how issues like struggles in school, loneliness, and even radicalization are taking root in the lives of young men-and what communities can do about it.

The event is sponsored by Arvest Bank and is free for anyone to attend, but registration is required due to limited seating. Workforce Strategies for a Thriving Region will be held December 5 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in Tatum Hall, Crowder College – McDonald County (194 College Road, Jane, Missouri). Registration and details are available online.

The I-49 Summit is a partnership with University of Central Arkansas, University of Arkansas, NW Arkansas Community College, Crowder College, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and Arvest Bank.
