(Joplin, MO) – The Missouri Council of the Blind, in collaboration with The Independent Living Center, invites the public to attend the Eye Care Health Fair on Wednesday, October 8 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Independent Living Center (2639 E. 34th Street, Joplin).
This free, community-centered event will focus on eye health, disease prevention, and support services for individuals experiencing vision loss. Attendees will also learn about the important connection between nutrition and the prevention of blinding diseases.
The Eye Care Health Fair is open to individuals of all ages who are interested in learning more about protecting their vision and accessing local resources and support.
Calling All Local Organizations and Providers
Local organizations, service providers, and professionals are encouraged to participate in the Eye Care Health Fair by hosting an informational table. This is a great opportunity to share services, distribute educational materials, and connect directly with community members who may benefit from your support.
A suggested booth donation of $50 is appreciated but not required to participate.
