Soroptimist International of Joplin Continues Annual Nut Sales Tradition

(Joplin, MO) – Soroptimist International of Joplin is currently accepting orders for premium, gourmet nuts, candies, and snacks during their signature annual fundraising event. The deadline for orders is November 2, 2025.

This year, the club is excited to partner with Miller Nut Co., a family-owned business in Afton, Oklahoma. By partnering with a local producer, the club is supporting not only Soroptimist programs, but also local growers.

Funds raised from the campaign will fund the annual Camp Soroptimist, a recreational retreat for Jasper County children in foster care. The camp has been Soroptimist International of Joplin’s keystone annual service project since 1984, when members of Soroptimist International of Joplin and employees of the Jasper County Division of Social Services/Children’s Division came together to focus on the needs of foster children in our area.

Funds also support the Live Your Dream© Awards, which supports education and training for women, as well as they Dream It, Be It Career Support for Girls© program, which empowers at-risk high-school girls with tools they need to achieve their education and career goals.
