(Joplin, MO) – Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at over 40 healthcare facilities, is inviting donors to make a lifesaving impact this July and enjoy some cool summer rewards.
Throughout the month of July, donors who give blood at any CBCO donor center or mobile blood drive will receive:
- Day Passport Ticket to SuperSplash USA ($44.99 value)
- Summer-themed plush beach towel
- Donors can enter to win a $10,000 dream vacation giveaway, thanks to Springfield Nissan Kia and The Resource Center
Special One-Day Event: Pint for a Pint Thursday, July 3
As part of the summer celebration, CBCO will host its annual Pint for a Pint blood drive on Thursday, July 3, with exclusive rewards available for one day only at all four donor centers in Joplin, Springfield, Bentonville, and Springdale. In addition to the July rewards, donors that day will also receive:
- A limited-edition CBCO pint glass
- A voucher for a pint of ice cream from Culver’s
Donation Hours on July 3:
- Joplin Donor Center (2318 E. 32nd Street) – 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Springfield Donor Center (220 W. Plainview Road) – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Bentonville Donor Center (1400 SE Walton Boulevard – 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Springdale Donor Center (3503 S. Thompson Street) – 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
All donor centers will be closed Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Other July promotional sponsors include 417 Travel and Zimmer Communications.

School breaks, vacations, and busy schedules often negatively affect summer blood donations, but the need for blood never takes a vacation.
