Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States to Hold Screening of ‘Audrey’s Children’ on July 18

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States (RMCH) invites the community to join them for a movie night on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 pm! Enjoy watching the new film, Audrey’s Children, with some of your favorite snacks: fresh popcorn, Coca Cola, and McDonald’s cookies.

This inspiring film is based on the true story of Dr. Audrey Evans, a trailblazing oncologist and co-founder of Ronald McDonald House Charities. This 2025 biopic tells the extraordinary true story of Dr. Evans, who is recruited to the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1969. As the first female to head her department, she overcomes pervasive sexism and internal politics to pioneer life-saving treatments and co-found the first Ronald McDonald House. A trailblazer with a relentless spirit, Dr. Evans’ fight for change redefined the world of medicine and her efforts have impacted the lives of millions.

The movie will begin at 6:00 pm at Central Christian Center. Everyone is invited and there is no fee to attend, but please make sure to RSVP so RMHC knows how many snacks to order. You can RSVP here.

Thank you to the sponsors of this event, Central Christian Center, Ozarks Coca Cola, Hoag Restaurant Equipment, and McDonald’s.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States:

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States has served our communities since 1996 through its mission, which is to create, find, and support programs that directly support the health and well-being of children and their families. That mission is executed through its cornerstone program, Ronald McDonald House, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room, located at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Our House provides temporary lodging for families of seriously ill children (ages 0-21) and ill expectant mothers, while our Family Room serves as a small oasis for families of pediatric patients just steps away from their child’s hospital room. For the more than 200 families that Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States serves annually, we give a family with a sick child what they need most – each other.
