(Joplin, MO) – Due to forecasted severe weather, the May 19, 2025, Joplin City Council meeting has been canceled. All agenda items that had been scheduled for tonight will be postponed to the June 2, 2025, meeting.
The City of Joplin encourages the community to stay weather-aware throughout the day and evening and to have a plan to stay safe in case there are any severe weather warnings.
The City’s weather team has been activated to minimize potential damage to public assets. The Parks and Recreation Department has also canceled all outdoor programs for May 19, 2025.
