Two years, 4 months
How long have you been an Ambassador with the Joplin Chamber?
Two years
Do you serve in any other capacities within the Chamber?
Chair for Leads Group Four, Leadership Joplin Alum 2024
What is your favorite Chamber event/program and why?
Event would probably be the Business Expo, It is an amazing way to meet tons of local businesses as well as get your name out to the public. I did also enjoy the YPN Pickleball Tournament at Tee Time. That was a lot of fun.
What is your favorite memory from serving as a Chamber Ambassador?
I had Empire Market as an ambassador visit and was given a tour where I learned a lot of interesting things about what they do and offer. It’s a really neat place. I like getting to see all the local businesses within the Chamber that I may have overlooked because I didn’t know they were in the Joplin market.
What would your advice be to new members of the Chamber?
Get involved. There are so many connections to be made with ribbon cuttings, leads groups, Expos, Banquet, etc. Network and find ways that you can make the Joplin Chamber and city a better place. Find ways to volunteer and meet people with the same passion you have or find something you can have a passion for.
Do you have anything else to add?
The friends and connections I have found through the Chamber, and its events have made me enjoy my career even more I’m getting excited for upcoming ribbon events and opportunities to see what Joplin have to offer, it makes the day fun.
