City of Joplin to Host Public Meeting on May 6 to Discuss Recycling Education

The City of Joplin invites residents to participate in a Recycling Education and Outreach Planning Open House from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on May 6, at the Joplin Public Library, 1901 E. 20th Street.

The City is developing a recycling education and outreach plan and is seeking feedback from residents on recycling obstacles, messaging, and opportunities. The event offers residents an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas on how the City can improve its recycling education and outreach efforts. City leaders seek to better understand the current obstacles to recycling and identify opportunities to boost recycling in our community.

The City’s goal is to create an effective education and outreach plan which enhances recycling education and awareness in the Joplin and surrounding community. The Open House offers a platform for residents to voice their opinions on current recycling challenges and opportunities and suggest new directions for community messaging and outreach efforts.

Snacks and beverages will be served.
