This is a free pitch competition open to all experience levels with tracks available for college students, pre-venture concepts, and participants who are ready to scale their existing business.
Dr. Dan Cravens, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, emphasizes the competition’s significance for the region. “Pitch Palooza is an excellent opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to win prizes and gain valuable experience in presenting their business ideas,” said Cravens. “More importantly, this contest fosters entrepreneurship in our region, inspiring new business ventures and creating jobs that strengthen our local economy.”
A panel of judges will review each pitch and award the following prizes to the winner of each track:
Collegiate Track – Trophy and certificate of accomplishment
Pre-Venture Track – A one-year membership to the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, valued at $420, with cash prizes to be announced soon.
Scalability Track – A one-year membership to the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, valued at $420, with cash prizes to be announced soon.
The community is also invited to attend the event and immerse themselves in a day filled with creative energy, new ideas, and a celebration of entrepreneurship. Everyone is encouraged to show support for their favorite pitch throughout the day!
