(Joplin, MO) – Connect2Culture (C2C) and Spiva Center of the Arts will host “A Winter Welcome” on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex (212 W. 7th Street, Joplin, MO 64801). This all-day event celebrates the unveiling of a new outdoor stage covering on the Leggett & Platt Green with artisan shopping, live entertainment, and holiday-themed performances.

Make-and-Take Ornaments with Spiva

Get into the holiday spirit and decorate your own handmade ornament while enjoying the current gallery exhibits.
Outdoor Canopy Celebration
6:00 to 6:30 pm | Free | Leggett & Platt Green
Celebrate the unveiling of the new outdoor stage covering on the Leggett & Platt Green. The event will feature remarks from representatives of the Cornell Complex, Connect2Culture, and Spiva Center for the Arts, as well as special performances by Joplin High School’s premier show choir, Sound Dimension. The celebration will conclude with a grand finale that showcases the capabilities of the canopy’s state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.
Connect2Culture Presents An Evening in Kringle City
7:00 pm | Ticketed | Beshore Performance Hall
The evening concludes with An Evening in Kringle City, a festive holiday-themed performance filled with music and storytelling from Santa Claus and his trusty elf, Holly. Tickets are available at connect2culture.org, by phone at 417.621.9824, or at the C2C box office inside the Cornell Complex, which is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
