(Joplin, MO) – Get ready to unleash your creativity and curiosity at the Creative Learning Alliance’s STEAM Day Celebration on Saturday, November 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Schroeder Family Exploreum! Join the fun on the Exploreum lawn at 300 S. Main Street for an exciting afternoon filled with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and engaging exhibits that highlight the fascinating and fun world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. This year’s inaugural event promises to inspire young minds and celebrate the diverse fields that make up STEAM. Event highlights include:
- Hands-On Activities for All Ages: Participate in engaging opportunities to experiment and explore different STEAM concepts.
- Interactive Exhibits: Discover local organizations showcasing how they use STEAM everyday.
- Commemorative Merch: Event t-shirts and stickers will be available for sale.
- Dress Like Your Favorite Scientist Fun Run: At 3:30 pm, there will be a special “Dress Like Your Favorite Scientist” Fun Run! Whether you channel your inner Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Ada Twist, Mr. Wizard, or any other scientific hero, come dressed as your favorite scientist and run (or walk) for fun! Only $5 per entry with prizes in five different age categories. Please register here.
The event is free and open to the public, excepting the $5 entry fee for the fun run. This is the perfect opportunity for families, students, and community members to come together and celebrate the importance of STEAM education.
