Crowder College Theatre Department Presents ‘Hallelujah Girls’ on October 4–6

(Neosho, MO)Crowder College’s Theatre department upcoming production of Hallelujah Girls will be held October 4 and 5 at 7:00 pm and October 6, 2:00 pm in the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Neosho campus. Hallelujah Girls is written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten, directed by Mary Hickox.

Cast for the production includes (actor name, hometown, character/role played):

  • Nancy O’Banion (Jenks, Oklahoma) – Mavis Flowers

  • Gabrielle Swayne (Aurora) – Bunny Sutherland
  • Jacob Herring (Fayetteville, Arkansas) – Bobby Dwayne Dillahunt
  • Joshua Evergarden (Webb City) – Porter Padgett

Tickets are available online or at the box office day of show. General admission tickets are $10; children’s tickets (ages 2-12) are $6; and Crowder students, faculty, and staff tickets are $8. The production is rated PG.

The theme of Hallelujah Girls revolves around the joys of friendship. This hysterical journey of three women takes place in the iconic southern lifestyle of Georgia. These ladies have their own debacles of life to handle, but the real conundrum arrives when a well-known, ex-boyfriend makes a return to their corner of the world. Will the three ladies solve the world’s problems and sing with joy and laughter?
