(Joplin, MO) – Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 45 area Ozark hospitals, is hosting an event to kick off the football season in an effort to boost the blood supply before the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Donate blood at a Community Blood Center of the Ozark donor centers on Friday, August 30, and receive:

  • An entry for a chance to win a Chiefs Tailgate package valued at over $1,200
  • A vintage Chiefs t-shirt
  • A voucher for two free general admission  tickets to Dickerson Park Zoo
  • A ‘Go Wild. Give Blood’ t-shirt

The tailgate package is valued at over $1200 and includes: a KC Wolf inflatable, YETI cooler, Coleman RoadTrip Grill, $250 Walmart Gift Card, Ray-Ban sunglasses, Chiefs metal coffee cup, Chiefs logo football, Chiefs blanket, Chiefs soft rolling cooler, and a Chiefs ballcap.

The drive will be held Friday, August 30 at all four Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Donor Centers in Springfield, Joplin, Springdale, and Bentonville. Donation hours for the Down. Set. Donate. Blood Drive are:

  • Joplin (Joplin Donor Center at 101 N. Range Line Road) – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Springfield (Thomson Donor Center at 220 W. Plainview Road) – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Bentonville (Bentonville Donor Center at 1400 SE. Walton Boulevard) – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Springdale (Springdale Donor Center at 3503 S. Thompson Street) – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

All donor centers will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
