In the largest graduating class yet, 15 students from Freeman Health System’s Learning Center will be decked out in the traditional caps and gowns to receive their diplomas as they cross the stage Friday morning.
“We love all our children, and it is always sad when we send them on the next adventure but, we’re sure we’ve set them on the right track for success,” said Learning Center Director Joshua Sharp.
This is the third class to graduate since Freeman Learning Center opened to students in August 2020. The Learning Center was specifically built to care for Freeman and Ozark Center employee’s children during the workday. It offers structured play that engages children to help them grow intellectually, emotionally and socially. By using an educational program called The Creative Curriculum, educational continuity is seamlessly provided from one age group to the next, as students move from the baby room to the one-year-old room and all the way up to the five-year-old room.
“This graduation is just one step towards many others in the child’s life,” Sharp said. “Change is inevitable, and we hope that we have been a special part of their life for only this short moment.”
The 15 graduates will be ready to start their first day of kindergarten in the fall.
