The Tri-State Area Contractors Association (TSACA) held their annual Scholarship Presentation Dinner on Thursday, June 20, 2024. This year, $16,000 in scholarships were awarded to 12 recipients.
The following companies had recipients:
- APAC Central
- Anchor Stone Company
- Beimdiek Insurance
- Branco Enterprises
- Crossland Construction Company
- G&H Redi-Mix
- MacCo Builders
- Paragon Architecture
- Southwest Missouri Bank
Awards were presented by Board Vice President, Heath Steeby, along with Scholarship Committee members Brian Atnip and Bryce McDermott. The following students were recipients:
- Full scholarships went to Will Ghan and Kyle Deterding with APAC Center; Ethan Roark with Crossland Construction Company and Beimdiek Insurance; and Brett Rockers, Cason Teutsch, and Cale Yokley with Crossland Construction Company.
- Partial scholarships went to Riley Bush with Branco Enterprises, Lindsay Griesemer with Anchor Stone, Jasmine Hill with G&H Redi-Mix, Brooke Perkins with Paragon Architecture, Shelby Riggs with MacCo Builders, and T.J. Tracy with Southwest Missouri Bank.
The goal of the TSACA Scholarship Program is to support students who are pursuing a degree or accreditation in the construction field. The program is open to employees of member companies as well as children of employees who work at member companies. Member donations made at TSACA events completely fund the scholarships. Recipients must fill out an application, submit their transcripts as proof of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and write an essay explaining their interest in the construction industry.
The recipients were chosen by the committee, which consisted of Brian Atnip of M.J. Surveying, Bryce McDermott from Branco Enterprises, Brandon Wilson of Bill’s Electric Inc., Amber Duncan from R.E. Smith Construction, and Craig Hardy of Sign Designs.
