(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce two well-deserved promotions.
Erin Slifka, former Director of Marketing & Communications, has been promoted to the position of Director of Sales & Marketing. In this new role, Slifka will oversee the membership and marketing departments of the Chamber so those staff members can assist Chamber members as they forge deeper connections with the Chamber and each other. She will continue to oversee the Chamber’s communications as well.
Melissa Williams, formerly Administrative Assistant / Human Resources, will assume the role of Director of Operations for the Chamber where she will manage the day-to-day operations of the administrative and finance staff at the Chamber. She will also oversee the Chamber’s human resources department, assisting the staff so that they feel empowered, supported, and better equipped to fulfill their duties.

Both Slifka and Williams assumed their new roles on Monday, April 1, 2024.
