(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to share that they have selected Lauren Ferguson as the Chamber’s new Director of Member Success.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lauren to the Chamber team!” says Travis Stephens, President and CEO of the Joplin Chamber. “With her proven relationship-building skills and passion for helping businesses grow, she brings a valuable combination of qualities that will directly impact our members in a positive manner.”
Ferguson studied early childhood education and criminal justice at Crowder College and Missouri Southern State University, respectively. She has previously served in various capacities in nonprofit organizations and churches across the area, working most recently as an Executive Account Manager at Athena Marketing & Advertising.
“As we continue to reshape the Chamber from a more traditional institution to one that directly addresses the challenges and issues of today’s modern-era business environment, we believe Lauren’s unique talents and abilities will play a major role in propelling us into the future,” continues Stephens. “Together, we look forward to achieving greater milestones and fostering a future of cohesiveness and collaboration with our current and future members.”
Ferguson’s first day with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce was January 8, 2024. As Director of Member Success, she will work with local businesses to forge deeper connections between the community and the Chamber and to find ways for organizations to maximize their Chamber membership.
