(Joplin, MO) – Annette Thurston, retiring Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States, shares a message of appreciation to the people of the four-state area.
“I am grateful for the 26 years of support from the people of the four-state area, who have given generously of their time, talent, and treasures to allow me to serve families and steward our mission,” said Thurston. “I am confident and hopeful that this support will continue and grow over the next 25 years of our charity.”

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States has served our communities since 1996 through its mission, which is to create, find, and support programs that directly support the health and well-being of children and their families. That mission is executed through its cornerstone program, Ronald McDonald House, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room, located at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Our House provides temporary lodging for families of seriously ill children (ages 0-21) and ill expectant mothers, while our Family Room serves as a small oasis for families of pediatric patients just steps away from their child’s hospital room. For the more than 200 families that Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States serves annually, we give a family with a sick child what they need most – each other.
