Sophie is thrilled to announce that they will be participating in the third-annual, nationwide, Pink Friday small business shopping experience on Friday, November 17, 2023!
Pink Friday is a small business spin on the traditional Black Friday shopping experience, designed to remind people to #ShopSmallFirst. Black Friday is the largest shopping day of the year, but the sales and promotions from big box stores often overshadow the experiences that small businesses are focused on providing. The goal on November 17 is to celebrate the businesses that are the backbone of our local communities.
“Pink Friday was created to shine a spotlight on small businesses and encourage everyone to shop consciously during the holiday season,” says Ashley Alderson, Founder and CEO of The Boutique Hub.
Now more than ever, supporting your local small businesses is critical to the survival of this sector of our communities.
Sophie will be celebrating the upcoming Pink Friday with their very own Pink Friday Event! They are a small business located in Joplin at the University Plaza, and they offer a wide variety of apparel, accessories, and are best known for shoes. To celebrate this incredible day, they will have drinks, treats, discounts, free gifts, and much more. There will be special giveaways and a social media prize for their followers on Pink Friday! Additionally, they will be celebrating 16 years of business, along with their relocation back to the University Plaza, with a ribbon cutting with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce at 4:00 pm! They will also have extended hours for the event until 7:00 pm.
