Downtown Update
October wrapped up the 16th season of Third Thursday! This season started in cold, pouring rain back in March and ended on a beautiful autumn night.
DJA has seen tens of thousands of their closest friends, racked up hundreds of volunteer hours, petted a city’s worth of dogs, and eaten more turkey legs and snow cones than is probably good for us.
Thank you to the 2023 Third Thursday Title Sponsors, KSNF-TV/KODE-TV, Zimmer Marketing, and The Joplin Globe, and to all of the monthly sponsors as well — Third Thursday couldn’t happen without you!
The 2024 Third Thursday season will launch on March 21 and vendor applications will open in January! DJA will see everyone then!
Friends of Downtown Campaign
DJA’s annual Friends of Downtown campaign has begun, and some of you may have received their giving packet in the mail or a tidy little email in your inbox. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to lori@downtownjoplinc.com if you have any questions.
The generous monthly (or one-time) contributions from those who support DJA allow them to constantly expand their efforts in historic preservation, economic vitality, community engagement, and throwing some of the best parties in town.
Their Friends of Downtown Campaign will begin in earnest in November, so you can expect to hear from them soon!
You can also skip the line and donate here.
