JLT Presents The Glass Menagerie

JLT is proud to announce the cast of The Glass Menagerie:
- Amanda Wingfield — Mariah Callari
- Tom Wingfield — J.J. Ramos
- Laura Wingfield — Sophie Stoebel
- Jim O’Connor — Logan Carnes
This production follows the story of Amanda Wingfield, a faded remnant of Southern gentility who now lives in a dingy St. Louis apartment with her son Tom, and her daughter, Laura, who has a physical handicap and debilitating shyness. Their father has left the home and Tom supports his mother and sister with a shoe-factory job that he finds unbearable. When Amanda convinces Tom to bring home a “gentleman caller” from his workplace for Laura, the illusions that Tom, Amanda, and Laura each created in order to make their lives bearable begin to collapse around them.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Office hours for The Glass Menagerie are as follows:

JLT and The Area Agency on Aging present Breadcrumbs by Jennifer Haley, a fundraiser for both organizations that aims to raise awareness of dementia, relying on a caregiver, and the struggles of both experiences.
Directed by Dr. John Green, this production features Diane Matinous as Alida and Ashley Trotnic as Beth/Mother. It follows a reclusive fiction writer who as been diagnosed with dementia and must depend upon a troubled young caretaker to complete her autobiography. In a symbiotic battle of wills, they delve into the dark woods of the past, unearthing a tragedy that shatters their notions of language, loneliness, and essential self.
VIP tickets are $125 and include a reception at 6:00 pm with drinks and hors d’oevres followed by the 7:00 pm performance. General admission tickets are $100 and only include admission for the performance. Tickets can be purchased here.
Breadcrumbs is presented by an arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
Upcoming Auditions for It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Drama
It may still be summer, but JLT is gearing up for the holiday season, which means it’s almost time for auditions for their holiday production, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Drama.
Based on the story The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern and adapted by Joe Landry, JLT’s version will be directed by Marilyn Bouldin, who is looking for a cast that includes:
- Three women
- Four men
- Five to 25 actors possible
- One to ten women
- One to 15 men
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Performance dances are set for December 6 – 9, 2023 and December 10, 2023.
