(Neosho, MO) – Crowder College’s Technical Education Center (CTEC) Building Trades Program has two tiny houses they will auction off to the highest bidder. An open house will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the Dell Reed Technical Education center on the Neosho campus of Crowder College.
The cabins are 12 feet by 24 feet and include many amenities and features, including:
- A full kitchen
- A three-fourths bath with a four foot shower
- An 11-foot-by-11-foot loft sleeping quarters
- A washer and dryer hookup
- Hearty concrete siding
- Heritage shingle roof
- Twin Oaks cabinets
- A shiplap ceiling with R-19 insulation
- Vinyl flooring
- Sheetrock walls featuring R-13 insulation
Plumbing and electrical are in place and ready for hookup. Both houses are wired for mini-split HVAC systems, which are not included. Each cabin is built on a six-foot-by-six-foot skid for mobility and setup for placement on foundation.
The cabins will go on sale via an online auction beginning Wednesday, May 31, 2023, and will continue through Friday, June 30, 2023, until 12:00 pm. To view each cabin and to place your bid, click here.
Buys will be able to bid online and set a maximum bid. The successful bidder will be notified at the end of the auction. The minimum vid is $25,000 per cabin. The buyer is responsible for loading, transportation, and insurance.
The Building Trades program consists of framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical and finish work. Students in this program built the houses while experiencing these trades. The class is taught by Mr. Scott Cianci. This program is part of the Crowder Technical Education Center, which is comprised of high school students from Neosho, McDonald County, Seneca, East Newton, and Diamond.
