(Joplin, MO) – Join forces with Joplin Parks and Recreation, Wildcat Glades Friends Group, Liberty, the Chert Glades Chapter of Master Naturalists, and the Missouri Department of Conservation to defend and celebrate Earth & Arbor Day on Saturday, April 22 at Wildcat Park! The festivities begin at 10:00 am.
The celebration will feature several Earth- and Arbor-friendly community alliances who will encourage the care of our planet through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and giveaways. Other activities include a vendor booth scavenger hunt with prizes, a native tree and plant sale by Forest Keeling Nursery, live music by Chester Ellis and the Tumbleweeds, and delicious food served by local food vendors.
As part of Arbor Day, Liberty is providing one free, three-gallon tree to the first 500 households who register. Those interested in a tree may pre-register for a free three-gallon tree here, using the promo code: JOPLIN2023, or at the event. Quantities are limited.
