(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and FORVIS are excited to announce the 2023 Business of the Year nominees. This year, 21 member businesses were nominated by area business professionals. The Business of the Year Awards, in its 27th year, recognizes the importance of businesses and nonprofit organizations to the economy, job growth, new products, and services.
Awards are given in three different categories: 1-50 employees, 51+ employees, and nonprofit. Nominees must be Joplin Chamber members in good standing for at least two years. During the next round, nominees will meet with judges from the business community and will be evaluated based on the following criteria: contributions to the community, business or management philosophy, response to challenges, innovative products or services, and employee involvement/recognition.
The winners will be announced at the annual Joplin Chamber Banquet on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
