The Carthage Visitors Bureau, along with local partners, will host a Civil War reenactment for the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Carthage on May 21 and 22, 2022.
The Battle of Carthage was the first full scale battle of the Civil War. Come join us to see the advancing troops, hear the infantry drums, feel the rumble of the cannons, and smell their smoke. Experience the battle that both sides claim to have won! The schedule of events for each day is as follows:

The Civil War camps, drills, demonstrations, and other activities are open to the public. The event will take place at Civil War Ranch, 11838 Civil War Road, Carthage, Missouri.
