(Joplin, MO) – Ozark Christian College (OCC) will host its annual Preaching-Teaching Convention on Monday, February 21 through Wednesday, February 23. This year’s theme, “After God’s Own Heart: A Study Through the Life of David,” includes main session speakers Jeff Walling, Michael DeFazio, Drew Sherman, Lito Solorio, Jaron Scott, and Ken and Kaylene Idleman.
“Leadership is a ‘work of the heart,’ so at this year’s convention, we’re studying the life of David, a ‘man after God’s own heart,'” says President Matt Proctor. “Whatever your kingdom role, we trust this week will encourage and equip you with practical ministry skills. We hope you experience rich worship, relational connections, and a few new tools in your leadership toolbox.”
The convention begins Monday with the Ozark Pathways Luncheon, led by Academic Dean Dr. Chad Ragsdale. Monday evening, the annual President’s Banquet will feature film writer, producer, and director Alex Kendrick. Preaching-Teaching includes afternoon workshops, children’s programming, and more.
A complete list of convention events, registration information, and downloadable promotional materials can be found here. The program book for the week can be read and downloaded here. The community is invited to attend.
