Arvest Foundation Donates $10,985 to Carl Junction Educational Foundation

(Carl Junction, MO) – The Arvest Foundation is pleased to announce a $10,985 donation to support the Carl Junction Educational Foundation. The funds will go towards the “Power of Play” initiative. This initiative strives to provide safe and inclusive playgrounds for all students in preschool through sixth grade.

The donation was made at the Carl Junction K-1 Primary School, at 306 W Allen St., on September 17. Arvest Bank associates were on hand to present the check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.

“This incredibly generous grant from the Arvest Foundation will fund an at-grade, multi-person inclusive spinner,” said Heather Linscheid, Carl Junction School District occupational therapist. “This equipment will allow multiple children to play together as well as provide independent access for those with limited mobility such as students who require a wheelchair. This is the epitome of providing play for everyone, which is our ultimate goal. We are very grateful for the Arvest Foundation and its support!”

“The Power of Play, what a wonderful and truly impactful initiative,” said Lacie Waggoner, Arvest Joplin region marketing manager. “When we learned of this need in our Carl Junction community, we knew we had to support this project, somehow. We are especially proud to donate these funds to help further the mission of the Carl Junction Educational Foundation and to show our support for inclusivity for all, especially when it comes to our school kids.”
