(Joplin, MO) – MOKAN Partnership is a regional public-private 501(c)(3) economic development organization that assists the growth of existing businesses, attracts new businesses, develops the regional workforce, and supports entrepreneurship efforts in our seven county tri-state region: Barton, Jasper, Newton, and McDonald Counties in Missouri; Crawford and Cherokee Counties in Kansas; and Ottawa County in Oklahoma.
The primary objective of MOKAN is to help bolster the regional economy by collaboratively working with industry leaders, communities, and economic development partners. The Partnership strives to create quality employment opportunities through business attraction, retention of jobs, and attracting professional talent to improve wealth and quality of place for everyone throughout the region.
