While COVID-19 has negatively impacted businesses around the world, many companies are thriving. Atlas Risk Management, LLC in Joplin is still doing business as the effects of the pandemic slowly ease, and they’re finding reasons to celebrate as well.
The company specializes in background screenings and is celebrating their fifteenth year in business along with a handful of other accomplishments. To commemorate this, Atlas hosted a ribbon cutting on July 24.
“We have several things to celebrate,” explains Larry Warren, owner of Atlas. “We are a locally owned business that started in a basement and as of May 10, 2020 we have been in business for 15 years. We are also starting a new product line for applicant tracking and payroll.” And as of Friday, July 17, Atlas moved to a new location at 2601 E. 4th Street, Suite B.
Additionally, the company recently began using a trade name, doing business as Atlas Background, to help potential clients understand that their main service is background checking and screening. Warren says this is important because he and his wife, Mikell, are still associated with the Joplin Tri-State Business Journal, which they managed from 2013 to 2017.
“Most people only remember us owning the business journal,” he says.
Now, the couple wants the community to have a better understanding of their business and its services. Besides commemorating Atlas’s accomplishments, Warren hopes that this was the main takeaway of the event as guests had the opportunity to get to know Atlas and its employees a little more.
“Our team is passionate about keeping our clients, their businesses, and the community safe by doing complete and thorough background checks. We want people to know what we really do,” Warren concludes.
Please join the Joplin area Chamber of Commerce on congratulating Atlas Risk Management, LLC on 15 years of keeping our community safe!
