Governor Parson’s Schedule for August 31 – September 2, 2021

(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – Next week, Governor Mike Parson will attend various meetings and events across the state. Governor and First Lady Parson will also be making stops in Southwest Missouri to continue their Bicentennial Tour.

On Tuesday, August 31, Governor and First Lady Parson will visit Joplin, Carthage, Republic, and Springfield as part of their Bicentennial Tour.

On Wednesday, September 1, Governor Parson will present the Missouri Public Safety Medals for heroic acts performed in 2020 to a total of 22 Missourians. Ten public safety officers will receive the Missouri Medal of Valor; five public safety officers will receive the Governor’s Medal (a team award); and seven civilians will receive the Public Safety Civilian Partnership Award.

On Thursday, September 2, Governor Parson will attend the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) Lineman’s Rodeo in Jefferson City and participate in a workforce development and infrastructure project announcement event hosted by Grant’s Custom Homes in Lee’s Summit.
