Since opening in July of 2019, Farmers Insurance – Shannon Smith Agency has been dedicated to helping the residents of Joplin, and its surrounding areas, protect what they love.
“Everyone needs insurance!” says Shannon Smith, Agency Owner. “And we can help anyone with a car, home, or a small business protect what matters most to them.”
With over 15 years of experience in insurance, this family owned and operated team has the knowledge and skills to ensure that each client receives personalized policies that will protect what they care about if the worst were to happen. Smith says a big part of this is helping their clients understand all their options.
“We are passionate about educating our clients,” she explains. “We work to make sure our clients know exactly what coverage they need, why they need it, and what they currently have.”
A love for the community and for its people drives this mission. Smith also says that growing up in Joplin, and having been helped by others in the area when she started her business, has created her desire to return the favor.
This includes supporting and volunteering with local organizations, especially those that specialize in assisting women and children, like Soroptimist International of Joplin, Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, and the Carl Junction Booster Club.
“I’ve lived in this area most of my life,” she adds. “I want to help Joplin’s residents and our businesses because I want to be able to give back to a community that has given so much to me.”
